What is Pilates-based Corrective Exercise?

Corrective exercise is a movement practice based on principles of kinesiology, anatomy, and biomechanics. By using Pilates we work with the classical Pilates apparatus to provide feedback through springs to the body to correct musculoskeletal imbalances and faulty movement patterns from orthopedic conditions or lifestyle habits.

There are countless conditions that can be positively influenced by regular corrective exercise and Pilates work. These include chronic pain, musculoskeletal disorders, post-op pain and stiffness, balance disorders, repetitive motion injuries from sports or work, low back pain, stress, post-natal healing, instability due to hypermobility/EDS, and many more.
